Refund and Returns Policy

Returns and Refunds

The following events are rare! If your order was built with flaw or has a man-made defect, Sangamon Reclaimed will rebuild and replace the product to correct the issue.  Our furniture is built from solid hard wood that is authentically reclaimed.  Any characteristics of reclaimed lumber or handmade furniture are not considered flaws or defects (see our FAQ page for more information on reclaimed lumber character).

Sangamon Reclaimed will repair or replace any products damaged during transit.  The damage must be reported and noted properly upon delivery (see below).

We are unable to offer returns or refunds on shipped orders due to “buyer’s remorse” because of the high costs of freight, manufacturing, and production.

Pre-made, Sangamon Reclaimed standard line items that are purchased in store are able to be returned in store and a refund offered as long as they HAVE NOT BEEN used and show NO SIGNS of use.  This is to the discretion of a Sangamon Reclaimed staff member. 

Damage during Transit

If your product is believed to be damaged during transit please complete the following steps to properly document the issue.

     -Thoroughly and completely inspect your product before signing for the package(s). 

     -In the rare event your product arrives damaged, please note any damage on the delivery slip before signing.

     -In the unlikely event your product is damaged in transit, by a 3rd party freight company, Sangamon Reclaimed will ship you a replacement item at no additional cost to you.  In order to make this happen, there will be a claim filed with the 3rd party freight company allowing us to replace your product for no additional cost.  However, we can only do this if you have noted the damage on the delivery slip before signing.

     -The delivery slip is a binding agreement, if no damage is reported before signing and is later found, Sangamon Reclaimed will not be able to do anything.

     -Fully inspect your product before signing.

**Products cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through the entryway or other hall/doorway.  It is your responsibility to ensure the product can fit in your space (including entryways, hallways, and stairs to get it to its new space).**
